Chapter Three : Part Three
“Do you require drink?” he asks, motioning towards the coffee maker at his side. “I would gladl-“ “I have matters to discus with you regarding my daughter’s chosen mate and your treatment of both her and that child” her father says flatly, cold white eyes staring deep into silver. “Treatment…?” Aduel starts, a bit taken aback. “I am unsure what it is that you mea-“ “Do not play games with me, Aduel” the Higher interrupts, the tone of his voice causing the other Angel to flinch notably. “I am well aware of what goes on in this classroom and while I tolerate your presence before my daughter most of the time, I will not tolerate the recent maliciousness directed at her because of your dislike for her mate, nor will I tolerate any further belligerence towards the boy himself.” Aduel clenches his uninjured fist and forces his voice even. “Sir, I understand that Samara’s opinion of …Sen is biased but I can assure you that I treat all my students in the manner that they present themselves to me. He is just as much of a menace as those two that created him are, plain and simple. You must see what that boy’s influence has been doing to your daughter since his arrival. Surly you’ve heard of what has already transpired between them during school hours-“ “I am rather surprised that you of all people would allow yourself to believe the rumors and gossip of children, Aduel.” The Higher smirks before narrowing his eyes in the slightest “have you fallen that much farther in this position than you had when you began that you have nothing better to do than this…?” he mocks. Anger flashes hard in silver eyes despite himself. “They are not rumors, sir, no matter what your daughter may have said.” Aduel says rather quickly without thinking. “I have seen with my own eyes what transpires between those two. That boy is just as tainted as his filthy Lower of a father and if you do not stop hi-“ The Higher leans forward suddenly and slams his hand down on the desk, causing the other Angel to jump and instinctively pull back. “You must truly take me for a fool if you believe I will take the word of one such as yourself over that of my own child.” Samara’s father hisses coldly and Aduel immediately drops his eyes. “Now listen to me very carefully.” He continues as he rises from his chair. “I am well aware of your conduct towards that boy’s father last night just as I am well aware of your conduct towards my child. It will cease. If I hear so much as a word from either Samara or Sen that you have continued your mistreatment of them I will deem the terms of your release void and simply carry out the sentence of your trial myself. Do. You. Understand?” Fearful silver eyes shoot up at his words and the Higher simply stares down at the lesser Angel for a few moments longer before Aduel nods quickly, his whispered word barely pushed out from in-between his lips. “Yes.” “Good” Samara’s father says flatly “I will also have you keep that narrow opinion of Sen’s fathers to yourself from this day on, Aduel. We as a society owe that man our lives just as we owe him our very future. If you speak ill of him or his mate in my presence or that of my daughter or their son again, I will make sure they are the last words ever to leave your lips.” The Higher turns and moves towards the door without another word, exiting a moment later to leave the shaken professor alone.
![]() Sen doesn’t even make it to his room when he is stopped by the Eclipsed on his way there. “How did things go today? I hope he wasn’t too… ornery.” The hybrid laughs as he continues walking to his room and motions for Aki to walk with him. “No, you predicted pretty much everything right. He flipped out in class and tried to take what he could out on me and once he ordered me to leave the room, I went straight to the Headmaster and we talked about it. She’s going to talk to him.” He smirks. Aki sighs, shaking his head. “I was sincerely hoping he would have known better… He really will get in to a considerable amount of trouble should he keep this up.” As they round the corner to the teen’s room, the Eclipsed stands in the doorway as Sen tosses his things down and kicks his shoes off. “Oh yeah… The Head wanted me to deliver this to you.” Sen riffles through his bag and pulls out a sealed envelope, handing it to the Eclipsed. “I told her she didn’t have to, but she wrote you guys a formal apology for Aduel’s behavior.” Groaning, Aki takes the letter. “I told her when I spoke to her that I know his behavior was not her fault. I’ll write one back to her thanking her for all her efforts in this and have you take it to her on Monday.” Sen nods as the Eclipsed heads back to his own room. The hybrid’s phone begins to chime. Diving for his bag, Sen grabs it and reads the screen. “Going to Central with Daddy tom, will be done at 11a – want to meet up afterwards? ~Samara” He smiles, pressing the autodial for Samara’s number. It barely has time to ring before the half breed picks up on the other end. “Hey, got your message, yeah, you wanna come out here afterwards? I don’t think either of my fathers will be home so maybe we can finally get some time alone for once.” “Oh cool” Samara grins, “Think you can send that driver cause I’ve only been up those two times and I still don’t know which buses to take yet?” “You got it” Sen smiles. “Sweet. Okay so I totally talked to my dad about all that stuff at school today. He went out a while ago for the conference, but oh my god was he so pissed off. My dad hardly ever looks real angry but it was practically streaming off him when he walked out the door.” The half breed laughs softly. “I so hope he ends up punching Mister Tightass in the face or something.” “Well, if Aduel knows what’s good for him, he’s just shut up and take whatever your dad has to say. Considering he’s a Higher, he’s technically Aduel’s immediate superior.” Sen laughs. “That also means he can just take Aduel’s head and it’d all be kosher. If that prick is going to listen to anyone, it’ll be your dad. I can’t wait to hear about what happened in the meeting, you think he will tell you the details when he gets back?” “Yeah” Samara snorts. “Somehow I don’t think that asshole has it in him to be smart. My dad’s real old school though no matter some of the other’s think because of me and mom and he really won’t put up with any shit if he gets pushed.” A small pout forms on the white and black haired teenager’s lips that carries through to her voice. “Probably not knowing my dad. He doesn’t like to “gossip” which includes telling me anything. But I know he’ll tell mom and I can so get it out of her easy so I’ll find out anyway.” “Ha ha, awesome, because I so want to know. I suppose I can technically just go into Aduel’s head on Monday and find out but I want to know now.” He laughs. “Ok, cool. I’ll send my driver out to pick you up tomorrow morning at ten-ish. Try to find out from your mom before you come by.” “You and me both so I’m totally gonna drill mom about it later” Samara smiles. “10 won’t do, Central remember? I’m finally gonna have my weapon designed for me, it’s gonna be so cool. So have your driver come by Central at 11 – Dad says I shouldn’t be there past 10 but knowing how things work there, better be safe than sorry. I’ll be waiting outside –wait” she stops abruptly “you know where Central is right?” “Oh yeah” The hybrid starts. “Okay cause I was gonna say for a minute… your Father being the Founder and all. Anyway, gotta fly cause I have an errand to run for mom and I so want to be back before Dad gets home.” Before Sen can say anything else, the line clicks off on Samara’s end. The hybrid smirks as he puts the phone down. Awesome.
![]() Sen taps his feet anxiously as he waits, settled in a plush chair. Samara better get here soon or he’s going to go crazy waiting to hear about what happened. He smiles, this was also the first real alone time they were going to have. Dad and Father went out for the day so they wouldn’t be home until the evening. Dad gave him a huge speech before he left as well about how he knows that they were going to be there alone and he knows what teenagers do when they are alone. He told Dad not to worry, they haven’t done much of anything yet anyway so who knows what’s going to happen. He did promise Dad that he’d make sure they were both ready for whatever it was that they did. He could tell how conflicted the Selestarri was about not wanting to stand in his way and knowing how teenagers are with having to be his Dad. Not that they had made plans to do anything specific, they just kinda went with what happened. He really wouldn’t care if they didn’t do the physical stuff, he just likes being around Samara no matter what. The hybrid perks up the moment he hears the heavily scrolled iron gates framing the mansion open in the distance. Quickly standing, Sen practically darts out of the sitting room towards the front doors. Reaching up to straighten long milky brown bangs as he steps into the foyer, iridescent eyes meet his from the bottom of the long stone steps as he steps outside. Pulling her small frame free of the car as the door is being held open for her, Samara bounds up the steps and jumps at the hybrid just as he’s clearing the first step to wrap long arms around the other teenager’s neck, nearly sending them both backwards from the momentum of the movement. “Oh my god, Sen” Samara says excitedly, “You have no idea how cool my weapon’s gonna be!” Sen laughs and picks her up as he backs into the foyer, pulling her feet down once they’ve gotten inside. “I didn’t know you were getting your weapon so soon.” The hybrid leans down and their lips meet while Samara unwraps her hands from his neck and places them on either side of his head, pulling him to her in her excitement. After a few long moments, they break away and Sen begins dragging her with him as he heads to the stairs. “So tell me what it’s going to be, there isn’t anything you fight with in Weapons consistently.” “Okay so it’s really huge right?” the petite girl’s hand pulls away from Sen’s as they reach the stairs and start climbing to stretch her arms far out to her sides. “The blade’s almost as long as me and a thick as mister Tightass’s fat head.” Samara laughs, reaching back down to grab onto the hybrid’s hand again. “The handle is like, half the length and there’s this bitch ass spike sticking out of the end…” she trails and a small frown passes across full lips. “Well, at least there will be when they make it. I’m still supposed to have a few years till I get my bonded weapon but Dad thinks I’ll be ready way sooner so he’s pushing for them to approve me now and I guess they agreed cause that’s why I had to go in so the designers could decide what would suit me best.” The half breed skips up a step as they make it past the second floor landing, pulling a small amount of laughter from Sen’s lips while she continues. “So like, at first they thought because I’m all small and stuff that I should have some puissant throwing knives or something and my Dad so wasn’t having it and he made me do a small demonstration with one of the other Council members and it took me less than a minute to pin his ass to the floor.” She smirks “I know he was totally going easy on me and shit because he didn’t want to hurt me or anything, but I guess the way I handled myself proved that I’m not some weak little girl and so they decided to design me something that could take down a frikkin horse. I can’t wait!” Sen laughs. “They should know better than to give you something small, though even with throwing knives I think you could still take down a horse. I guess they’ve never had to design anything for a girl before. You’re going to be the first female ever to get an Angelic weapon.” The two rush up the remaining stairs to the fourth floor and practically fall on the hybrid’s bed as they run in. “I think that’s so awesome, I can’t wait to fight you when you get it. I wanna see you kick ass with that thing. Even the purebloods at school won’t have theirs yet so you can show them up like crazy.” Black streaked white hair fans out around her head as the half breed falls onto her back with a laugh. “God, I can’t wait.” Tilting her head to the side she looks up at clear crimson and grins. “I’m going to be able to kick so much ass, yours included.” Samara laughs before tilting her head back to stare at the ceiling. “It’s going to be so cool to see all those pure blood pricks get all pissed that I’m totally going to get my bonded before them. Oh!” the petite girl says suddenly, turning herself to the side and propping her arm up on her elbow in order to rest her head in her hand a moment later while her other arm falls to her hips. “Okay so I got the skinny from mom right? You’re gonna die.” She smiles wide, “so like, Mister Aduel tried to deny he was treating us bad and stuff, and then even said something like how you were tainting me or some bullshit and that he personally saw us fucking or something. My dad was not having that and he got all up in his face, called him a liar and told him if he ever hears that we’ve been treated bad again, he’ll say screw his parole and take his head himself. Is that fucking cool or what?” “Ha! Awesome. Maybe now he’ll just learn to deal with us and grumble about it on his own time. As much as Professor Tightass doesn’t think I understand the intricacies of Angelic society, I understand more than he’ll ever know. When Highers like your dad go around saying what’s what, he has to listen or else. Death by your dad’s hand would be too quick and nice compared to what he’d get dished if they killed him back in Central. Dad knows that one first hand.” Sen rolls on his back with a wide grin. “I can’t wait till Monday just to see how he acts now. And bullshit, if Aduel actually saw us fucking, which he never would because I’d smell him from a mile away, I think he would do a little more than just tell our dads and complain. He would go to the ends of the earth to get us expelled.” He laughs. “Or he’d just stand there and watch because he’ll never get any in his life, he’s got his foot so far up his ass.” Samara laughs out loud and falls back on the bed again. “Oh shit, I bet. Who the hell would want him anyway? You know, for as pretty as Angels are naturally, half their attitudes suck so bad it’s too hard to see past it. It’s going to be so frikkin funny on Monday to watch him squirm…” grinning wickedly and reaching up, the half breed threads her fingers into her hair and pushes long strands away from her eyes before letting her head fall to the side again. “Okay, I’m so hyped up from this morning so we gotta do something or I’m gonna go crazy nuts.” “Well I never actually planned anything… Dad and Father are gonna be gone for most of the day so really it doesn’t matter what we do. Well, it wouldn’t matter even if they were here because they wouldn’t care anyway.” Sen turns on his side to face the half breed, smiling at her profile. Samara was really pretty, he notices it more and more each day. Just everything about her was attractive to him, even when she would lose control and get in other people’s faces. It’s cute when she does it. He liked the confidence and strength she had, even if she was a little hard to handle at times. It would be boring if she wasn’t. “Hm…” Samara says, taking her time to think while the hybrid’s eyes are on her. She so loves when Sen is looking at her, she can always feel his eyes moving over one part or another and it gives her this warm, heated feeling in the pit of her stomach. A slow smile forms on full lips and she sits up abruptly, turning and crawling over to the other teenager to knock him onto his back. Swinging her leg across Sen’s form, she straddles him and plants her hands besides both sides of his head. Long layered locks falls around her shoulders as she leans down, tilting her head in the slightest to bring her face in very close. “I have the perfect thing…” “Oh yeah?” Sen says with a smile as he slides his fingers up and begins trailing small, glass like claws along her legs. “Mm-hmm…” the half breed’s tongue slips out and she licks along the line of the other teenager’s lips before leaning in to complete a partial kiss. Smiling as she pulls away just enough to speak, Samara spreads her legs enough to push her small frame farther against the one beneath her, pulling a soft gasp from Sen’s mouth. “Something I’ve wanted to do again for a really long time…” Samara trails her mouth away from Sen’s lips and traces the contours of his cheek before stopping at his ear. Warm breath washes over the hybrid’s skin, causing a small shiver to race down his spine while he tightens his grip on her thighs as her chest presses against his. “I want to fly…” she whispers before nipping at Sen’s ear and pulling herself suddenly away, pushing backwards to free herself of his body and land on the floor at his front. Grinning down at the hybrid still laying on the bed, Samara reaches up and flips her hair away from her eyes. “I totally bet you won’t be able to beat me outside.” With a laugh, she turns on her heals and darts for the door, quickly disappearing out into the hall as she bounds for the stairwell beyond. Sen lays there for a moment, his body in slight shock. He is so going to have to get her back for that later. He grins and sits up, there was no way she’d beat him outside. The hybrid practically runs out his door only to take a hard left down the hall and makes his way to his fathers’ room. He would normally never go in there without their permission, even though he knows he can, it just always felt kind of… rude, but he’s sure they wouldn’t mind him taking a little short cut. The heavy seal dissipates at Sen touches the brass knob, resetting it’s self as he closes the door behind him a moment later. He jogs across the room and opens the double French doors to his fathers’ balcony, dashing through and hopping up on the stone encasement. Pitch tipped silver feathers splay out as Sen unseals his wings and hops down off the ledge, gliding down the four stories to the grass below. He touches down lightly, immediately resealing the appendages and darting around the building to the front entrance. Samara exits the front doors shortly after he has made his way around and keeps her eyes on the entrance waiting for the hybrid. He sneaks up behind and startles the half breed. “So what took you so long?” Sen spins her around before she can protest and wraps his arms around her waist, looking down at her with amused crimson eyes. “And since this was a bet, what do I win?” “Dammit, where did you go out?! That’s so not fair!” she laughs while reaching up to hit at the hybrid across the arm. Sen pulls one hand away from the half breed’s waist and reaches up to wrap his fingers around hers before she can make contact and Samara pouts “You totally cheated…” her words pull a quiet amused laugh from the other teenager’s lips and Sen leans down, sliding his head over her shoulder to speak into her ear. “You didn’t say how, you just said outside…” Turning her head to meet the hybrid’s lips with her own, Samara smirks. “Oh, fine” The mouths almost meet before a smile forms on the hybrid’s lips and he pulls back, still holding the white and black haired teen very close. “So what do I win?” A thoughtful expression forms on Samara’s face momentarily, quickly replaced by a sly grin. “You can… tell me to do one thing and no matter what it is… I’ll do it.” An equally sly grin forms on Sen’s face. “I’ll save that one for later then.” He chuckles before breaking free of her grasp and heading back around to the side of the building with the half breed in tow. “Come on, you want to fly, we have to get to an open space.” Samara follows as they round the corner, moving farther into the grounds to a large clearing. Sen turns back and smiles. “When we’re done I’ll show you one of my favorite places, you can only really get there by flying.” Before Samara can say anything, the hybrid takes off towards the center of the clearing, jumping high into the air and unsealing his wings halfway up. Pitch-tipped silver feathers beat strongly to lift the hybrid up and into the sky. Watching as the other teenager climbs higher for only a moment, Samara grins and darts forward. Black tainted white wings unseal and she leaps off the ground in mid sprint, spreading her wings to their limits before pulling back and beating them hard. Circling only a few times to gain momentum, the half breed flips herself around and begins climbing herself, quickly closing the gap between them as she catches up from below. Sen slows, waiting for Samara to catch up with him. Just before she would reach, he quickly dives, streaming away from the other teen and coasting out over his Father’s forest. He really wishes he could take her to the Borders, nothing compares to that. The air is so clean and you can see for miles. The hybrid looks back at the small dot trying to keep up. Flipping up, Sen changes directions and turns back, closing in on Samara fast. He knows he’d have to ask Father if he could do that and with how little Father trusts anyone, he’s not sure he would be given permission. Maybe he could just get them there and then go elsewhere without her even being on the cliff. He’d just have to ask later when they get back and Samara was gone. There was no way he could get her to Heaven’s Gate without them being attacked, but he could at least show her from a distance. The black and white haired teenager begins to slow as she realizes Sen is streamlining straight for her and she laughs before spinning her small frame around, tucking her wings behind her and allowing herself to fall in the slightest. Iridescent eyes stay locked on the other teen as she twists herself around to dive towards the ground. God, she could do this all day with Sen, she really could. The air was so much cleaner than the small section of her high rise that was magically warded for them to fly in. There was so much space and so much room for them to move. She loves being able to feel the wind racing over her feathers just as she loves being able to see Sen’s as well. He has really frikkin beautiful wings too and she feels all kinds of special probably being the only one at their school that gets to see them. Making it about ten feet from the ground, Samara quickly spreads her wings to their limits, catching the draft in order to glide along the ground. Reaching down to trail her fingers along the greenery beneath her, she peaks back in time to see Sen almost on her. “Oh shit!” she says before pulling her hands back and speeding up, once again climbing higher into the sky as she attempts to out fly the hybrid. Sen just laughs as he sees Samara try with everything she has to out fly him. He whips up, flying in a huge arc and descending down on the other teen quickly. Flying right above, the hybrid reaches down and skims the top of her feathers as he shoots past once more and heads towards the mansion roof. Maybe if she keeps practicing out here she can really keep up with him some day. He imagines that little rooftop wouldn’t really allow you to strengthen your flying skills very well. Approaching the building quickly, Sen spreads black tipped, iridescent silver feathers, slowing his decent. Following the hybrid towards the top of the mansion, Samara meets Sen’s gaze as she slowly descends just as he’s folding his wings below her. Black streaked white hair flies up just as she touches down at his front and the teenager reaches up to straighten the locks while white wings seal behind her. Turning around she moves to the ledge and steps up, almost pushed back by a strong gust that wracks over her small frame. Iridescent eyes scan the grounds and the forest far below as a grin forms on full lips. “It’s not as high as home but seriously, this is way more beautiful…” “Yeah.” Sen smiles. “This is where I go when I want to get away from everyone. It’s Dad’s favorite place too.” He smirks. “This is also the place where my grandfather attempted to throw me off and Father actually came up and saved me. It was the first time Father actually acknowledged my existence as something other than a volatile threat, which I’m sure he still thought but at least he was trying for Dad’s sake.” The hybrid laughs. Sen walks along the roof’s edge, making his way to a nearby gargoyle and climbs his way to the top, sitting on it’s back. Samara joins, taking the offered hand as he hoists her up in front of him. The hybrid wraps his arms around the half breed and leans his head on her shoulder, staring out into the grounds. Sliding her hands down around the arms that hold her, Samara leans back into Sen’s body and idly kicks her legs in front. “You know, I still don’t get the whole thing about your grandfathers wanting to kill you and stuff. Why would they bother going through all that trouble when you were just a little kid? And your Father seems like he’s all for you now, I can’t imagine a time when he would look at you all different…” “I was a game.” Sen says matter-of-factly. “I was created for the sole purpose of seeing whether or not Father would kill me. My grandfathers created me from both my fathers’ genetics and then sort of deposited me in their room to see what would happen. One bet that he would kill me immediately, the other bet that Dad would stop him. Dad actually stood in the way of Father’s sword. It took a long, long time for Father to eventually trust me and even longer for him to actually love me. Anything made by my grandfathers is never what it seems, so while he had what was the equivalent to a five year old in front of him, that didn’t mean anything, I was still a dangerous threat and he would never risk the ones he loves for anything. Grandpa Hesue instilled a small block in the back of my mind that even Father couldn’t get into which made him trust me even less because he couldn’t prove I was an innocent. There’s nothing behind it, it was placed to make Father want to kill me even more. When Grandpa Io found out about the block, he flipped.” He laughs. “But in the end, Dad was right and I was just me, nothing hidden. My grandpas never really planned anything when it came to me because I wasn’t expected to survive past the first five minutes at most.” The hybrid shrugs. Shaking her head, Samara tightens her grip on the hybrid’s arms. “That’s totally messed right there. No offence to your granddads or whatever, but I don’t like them at all. I’m so totally glad your Father didn’t kill you… cause I’m all kinds of greedy and would be wicked upset if I didn’t get to be sitting like this now.” The white and black haired teenager smiles and tilts her head to the side to lean lightly against Sen’s still resting across her shoulder before her expression goes straight and a thoughtful look passes over her features. “So like, wait… what the hell kind of thing can just make a kid without having to go through birth or cloning and stuff?” “A god… more specifically two haves of one god.” Sen smiles at Samara’s obvious expression of disbelief. “I don’t really expect you to fully get it and while Father wouldn’t like me talking about it, he also knows no one would believe it, especially coming from a fifteen year old’s mouth. Really, no one here who knows about my grandfathers likes them, and that’s very few people in the end. A god is a hard enough concept to get, let alone actually meeting one face to face and having it fuck with you for fun. I personally hate them for all they’ve done to my fathers over the years, especially to Father. They haven’t been around in years and I hope it stays that way.” He laughs at the half breed’s continued confusion. “Someday I’ll explain it all to you. You’d never believe what the real story is behind everything you know. It would tear your reality apart.” “I was made through what was probably something similar to magic. Gods do have the ability of creation, after all. They took feathers from Father’s and Dad’s wings and used that to get the genetic material I think.” Samara looks at the hybrid a moment longer with the confused look still painted on her features before turning her head back to stare out at the grounds below. “you’ll have to tell me eventually cause all you did was make me way curious now. So okay, how did they manage to get feathers off both your dads without them knowing? Cause you said your granddads surprised them right? And if your dads didn’t want a kid to begin with, I can’t see them just giving something up to be able to make you…” the half breed stops and sighs. “then again, if they really are gods and stuff, I guess they could do whatever they want huh?” “I’m not sure how they got a feather off Father… but Grandpa Hesue did create his body so I assume he could figure out a way. They got a feather off Dad by sending Aunt Saiyuri to do it. She kind of tricked him into letting her take a feather so she’d leave him alone. They didn’t know why she wanted it. Technically Father can’t reproduce and Dad can only do it with a female Selestarri… I think. The fact that he’s Eclipsed could mess with that but if they got the right spell patterns I’m sure he could. But yeah, I shouldn’t technically be able to exist. Kids were never in their plans, Father isn’t exactly the most nurturing of people but Dad makes up for it. So yeah, I wasn’t planned, they didn’t know I was coming but they made the best of it. I love them both and I know it’s returned completely. Dad tells me and Father shows his love through actions. He puts himself out a lot for us. I know he would literally tear the planet apart if something ever happened to me or Dad.” He smiles as a chill races through Samara from the cold wind and she works herself back into his arms even more. Sen liked feeling as if he could protect her, no matter what it was from, even the cold. “Come on, let’s go back inside, there are fireplaces all over the place and we can find one to warm up by.” “Cool…” the half breed says as Sen rises up behind her and lifts her small frame with him. “I guess I shoulda thought to bring my coat too, but I was too busy being excited about everything.” Laughing lightly while the hybrid steps around her and hops off the stone statue, turning to put his hands out the girl above him. Samara grins and leaps off the back, pushing them both a few steps back on the ledge as she lands in Sen’s arms. Iridescent eyes look down into clear crimson; both teenagers staring at each other for the space of a few minutes before Sen gently sets her down. Grinning, Samara steps back and turns abruptly, crouching down before taking a strong leap off the ledge. Halfway down in her decent, black tainted white wings unseal and spread to their limits in order to slow her fall, the hybrid following soon after.
