Chapter One : Part Four
Jenova straightens in a small series of complicated twists, throwing his hand out to catch the katana by the black lacquer like handle just as it completes its fall. Spinning it around once again more, he turns and eyes still closed to the world, pulling a small gasp from the Eclipse’s mouth as the very tip of razor sharp metal touches at his neck. Clear crimson opens to meet cerulean a moment later and he smiles. The Demon holds the blade at Aki’s neck for a minute before it begins snaking from view in a very slow flicker of light. Glass like claws slide up and push long plaits behind is ear and he turns, moving towards the over sized four poster bed, speaking as he goes, “I take it the boy enjoyed his time out…” “He did…” Aki speaks with a measure of reservation, following the Demon to the bed. Jenova sinks into the silk sheets as he positions himself back against the intricately carved headboard. Clear crimson eyes follow as the Eclipsed crawls over by his side, reaching out and grabbing Aki to pull him in his lap with a slight yelp of surprise. The Eclipsed settles in against the larger man, sighing contently and closing blue eyes when claw tips run softly over the side of his face. Aki laughs, “That boy is definitely your son.” He turns back with a smile as the Demon cocks an eyebrow. “He’s discovered he has your ability to… charm others.” Jenova smirks as the Selestarri continues, “He was apparently teaching one boy a lesson on how it’s not nice to lead others on when he ended up with his first kiss and the discovery of how easy and fun it was for him to manipulate someone weaker than himself. I cautioned him on how dangerous that can be if he isn’t careful, reminding him of those who would not take ‘no’ for an answer with you. He wasn’t aware the consequences could be so severe. I think he understands a little better now, though. Aside from that, he met the parents of this girl he made friends with and came home right after I messaged him.” He chuckles, “Sen seemed surprised that I knew how to use a cell phone.” “Let us hope he does indeed understand it as I would like to believe he has enough intelligence in him than to take such things lightly. I realize he has known nothing beyond these walls for the years he has seen life but sharing the genetics he does inclines him not to be entirely stupid…” Glass like claws trickle lightly into long ginger locks as Jenova continues, “there are many things about you that would surprise him were he to take time to learn them I am sure…” He chuckles, sliding the tips of his nails from Aki’s hair and down, slowly tracing over each curve along his jaw line, watching his own movements with amused red eyes as he continues down the long line of the Eclipse’s neck, “though I am unsure if I know what these charms you speak of are. This One is simply himself. How others choose to perceive it is nothing I am willing to take responsibility for…” “HA!” Aki turns in Jenova’s lap, “Oh I think you know… you’ve used them on me on more than one occasion and I know you use them on Fuan.” The Eclipsed sits up on his knees, sliding his fingers into the Demon’s scalp and brings his face very close. Half lidded eyes stare into amused clear crimson and he brushes Jenova’s lips with his own. “You get just like this whenever you don’t want to answer a question. You know the power you hold over others and I’ve seen you use it to your advantage many times, and apparently Sen has as well. He obviously didn’t pick it up from me.” The Eclipsed smirks before leaning in to press full lips against pale ones. As the kiss deepens Aki becomes slightly breathless before pulling away and whispering into Jenova’s mouth. “That… that right there is what you do so well… and it’s impossible to deny you when you do… not that I want to…” The Demon slides his hands slowly down the Eclipse’s slender frame, a sly grin forming on pale lips as he lifts Aki suddenly up and shifts them backwards. White plaits spill around his head as blue eyes stare up into amused crimson, strong arms sliding down to pull both Aki’s legs up and swing them over broad shoulders. Leaning down, Jenova brushes his lips once again, pulling back to speak quietly into his mouth, “Of course you would not want to… why let such efforts go to waste hm…?”
![]() The town car pulls up the school parking lot and Sen steps out before the driver can get the door for him. His parents spent a good portion of the weekend doing what they always do so that coupled with his excitement over coming back here kept him awake for most of Sunday night. Instead of sit around all morning, he’d decided to get to school way early in hopes he’d be able to hang out with Samara and the others before classes started since he really wasn’t sure if Father would allow him out again any time soon. The grounds were filling fast with kids as he paces through the halls, working the layout in his head to carry him towards Homeroom. As he passes them, all manor of teens fall silent to either stare or wait until he’s moved a ways past before breaking out in whispers and gossip behind him. The hybrid furrows his brows in slight annoyance. It was like this the week before as well, only for some reason it seems a little worse today… really, was it going to be like this every time he was here? He likes being around people his own age for a change, but this is getting annoying. “Sen!” Samara’s voice pulls him from his thoughts and he stops, turning back in time to see the half breed nearly on him. The girl latches down on his arm and yanks him off to the side, pulling him around the corner and into an empty hallway before she lets go and turns, clearly annoyed as she speaks, “Jacen’s told everyone you two totally hooked up on Friday, it’s like the talk of the school already, is it true?!” “What? Hooked up? What does that mean?” He stares at her highly confused. “You know… hooked up, together, an item, going out, whatever… so are you? What happened between you two Friday night?” “Umm… no… why would he say that? What happened is exactly what I told you. I cornered him, waited for him to do… something. He didn’t I started to walk away he told me to wait, I turned back around and he kissed me. I did kiss him back but once he started getting way too into it I shoved him off and came back to see you. That’s it, we never said anything to each other beyond that point. Why is he going around telling people things that aren’t true? Unless kissing someone is like some sort of invitation to ‘hook up’ that I don’t know about. That’s certainly possible…” His expression turns to annoyance, “Either way, I don’t want to be hooked up with that guy, I don’t even know him. I think I need to talk to Jacen to set this all straight, where is he?” “Last I saw him he was heading to his own homeroom,” Samara snorts, “it’s our sister class but way across the building. Room 20, section A. Sen look,” iridescent eyes meet crimson and her voice takes on a tone of seriousness. “Jacen never gets serious about anyone so if he’s telling everyone you two are an item, then his signals are mixed to hell and you gotta set it straight. He’s a good guy, he really is but he gets crazy obsessive about things he wants. I’ve been fighting him off me for the last 2 years of school and no matter how much I tell him no, he keeps getting in my face. He doesn’t like to take no for an answer so if you really don’t want to be with him you gotta make it super clear or he just won’t get it.” The girl turns and moves towards the main hall, “First bell’s going off in 25 so you better hurry…” Sen smirks, “Of course I’ll be back in time, I wouldn’t want to piss off Mister Aduel…” The hybrid makes his way back through the halls, weaving through other students and getting consistently more annoyed by the fact that everyone seems to be talking about this behind his back. It’s not as if he couldn’t hear what they were saying right after he passes them. What the hell did Jacen say to them? Nothing happened, Sen had no idea what there was to tell about the whole situation anyway. He thought he was pretty clear when he made him back off. Reaching the other end of the building, Sen rounds the corner and looks for Room 20, pushing his way through more groups if whispering teens. By the time he reaches the door, the hybrid is thoroughly pissed. “Yo, Jacen…” Sen storms in the room, interrupting the half-breed’s apparent group conversation he was having with the other students. A few of the girls blush and leave the table while the guys give Jacen knowing looks. The hybrid gets right into Jacen’s face, “The hell are you going around telling people? Nothing happened between us Friday night. I don’t know where you’re getting this shit from but I thought I made it perfectly clear that it wasn’t going to happen. So quit the bullshit.” Flawed hazel eyes widen in the slightest, darting quickly to the few close students before shifting back to meet angry crimson, “Whoa, what bullshit?” He says quickly, his voice stays pitched low, but loud enough for his nearby friends to hear, “I wouldn’t say nothing was happening when you stuck your tongue down my throat…” He smirks, his words pulling a few ‘oohs’ from the closest table to them, but Sen can see that the confidence in his tone is not reflected anywhere in his eyes, “you told me to back off Samara for you and I am right? I’ll go exclusive if that’s what you’re worried about. I would have said it that night, but I was a little wrapped up in how fucking hot you were when you had me up against the wall…” Faster than Jacen can follow, Sen’s hand reaches up and clamps down on the half-breed’s throat. Hands fly up to grip at the hybrid’s clawed fingers. Hazel eyes widen as gold-streaked crimson stare through him, Sen’s tone dangerously even, “I told you to back off Samara and that was it. The only reason I came near your sorry ass was to show you that messing with other people’s feelings, like you seem to do so much, and strutting your shit all over the place just because you can, isn’t exactly a nice thing to do. I thought you would have gotten the hint that it wasn’t happening when I shoved you away but apparently you didn’t. We are not ‘together’ or ‘hooked up’ and we never will be. I suggest you retract the bullshit you seem to be spreading before I retract it for you.” Without waiting for an answer, the hybrid shoves Jacen back and off his desk, turning to walk out of the room. The students’ eyes divert from his as he looks around, fear permeating the air. The hybrid practically storms down the hall, working to calm himself as he moves through hallway after hallway towards his own Homeroom. Seriously, where the fuck did that kid get off? How many times did he have to physically shove his arrogant little ass off before he got the message? Sen sighs, as he rounds a corner and moves into Section C. How does Father handle it… he trails in mid thought, actually he knew how Father handled it because Dad told him in his lecture. He just killed whoever was pissing him off. Sen knows full well he can’t do the same thing so hopefully Jacen actually got it this time. At least they were in front of a bunch of others, if anything he can only hope the others got real fast he wasn’t with him at all and had no plans to be either. By the time he’s rounded the final corner and steps into Homeroom, the gold has drained from his eyes, but the annoyance still lingers. Samara stands chatting in a corner with a group of friends, her eyes shifting to meet his gaze briefly as he walks to his assigned seat and plops himself down in a huff, crossing his arms over his chest. Pulling herself from the group, she seats herself next to Sen and leans forward, black streaked white hair spilling across her desk as she meets clear crimson with iridescent silver. “Did he get it or what?” “I would be surprised if he didn’t. No scratch that, I probably wouldn’t be. I made it as clear as I possibly could with my hand around his throat. Just where the hell does he get off? He thought I told him to back off of you because I apparently wanted him.” He scoffs, “What bullshit.” “Sen!” Mister Aduel storms into the room, smug anger written across his face “You dare show your face in my classroom after what you just did!” Sen sits up startled and confused. “After I did what? I didn’t do anything?” “I will have none of your lies, you will report to the Headmaster immediately! I knew you couldn’t keep yourself contained. Get out of my Classroom!” “But…” Mister Aduel points to the door and Sen gives Samara a worried look before standing up and walking out.
![]() Sen sits nervously in the Headmaster’s office by himself for several long minutes. Mumbled voices filter through the door followed by the sound of the knob turning. The Headmaster enters the room looking at the hybrid highly disappointed before sitting down at her desk. “Sen, I would have thought you to know better than to attack a fellow student. This is only your second week and…” Before she can finish her thought, Sen interrupts her. “Attack?! I didn’t attack anyone, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I wouldn’t do anything like that.” “Enough.” The woman’s stern voice silences the hybrid immediately. She stares at him for a moment before clearing her throat and continuing, “The entire homeroom class of Section A witnessed you storm in, and after a few short exchanges, also witnessed you wrap your hand around Jacen Syvan’s neck before throwing him off. You cannot tell me that this is not an attack Sen.” She shakes her head, her tone a full out lecture, “I understand that you are not used to being around others, your Father explained your home schooling to me when he enrolled you and given your roots and the purity of those ties, plus the reports of your various instructors, I know the strength you hold and the abilities you possess. But even living in such a sheltered environment, I cannot believe that you lack all forms of common sense as to the way you should conduct yourself around others. Mr. Syvan is part human, human’s do not possess even a fraction of the strength you do and his scent alone should have told you this. He could have been seriously injured Sen, as it is I am left to explain to his parents why he was hurt in my school.” Sen sits, shocked, “But if everyone saw it, then they should be able to tell you I never attacked him! I know he’s part human, I never hurt him. Ask him yourself, I couldn’t have possibly pushed him hard enough to hurt him. I was just telling him to knock off the rumors that he and I were together. That’s all! I swear! I know my strength so I know what would have been enough to injure him and I never even came close to it. Go talk to him, make him show you that he’s fine. Yes, I was annoyed but I would never take that out on someone else. You have to believe me. I don’t want trouble, I just want to go to school like everyone else.” The hybrid looks away. Now they were going to call Father and then he’d never let him leave the house again. All because that idiot wanted to start shit that wasn’t true. Father was going to be so disappointed, and Dad… he couldn’t stand either of them being disappointed in him. “If I hurt him I wasn’t aware. I’m sorry, I’ll apologize to him myself if I have to, just please don’t call my Father.” A sighs passes from the woman’s lips, “I do not believe you did anything maliciously, Sen. But even so, the behavior is unacceptable. You will be required to write a formal apology to Mr. Syvan, and your last homeroom of the day for the next week will be spent in weapons instead, helping your teacher with clean up in hopes this will teach you that you cannot simply bulldoze your problems away using brute strength. It will not excuse you from your scheduled class work however, so Mr. Aduel will have the assignments for you at the end of each day. Be sure to get them before you go home.” Her expression softens and her tone takes on a measure of sympathy, “I will not contact your Father this time so long as you promise me that this incident will not be repeated in the future…” A small smirk forms on her lips, “I am not that cruel.” The hybrid looks down, defeated, “Thank you. I didn’t even want to do it in the first place, it’s just… I’ve never had to deal with this sort of thing before, you know? I’ll do whatever I have to do to fix it. I just wish he was forced to write me an apology for starting all those rumors…” He looks back up, “I don’t think Mister Aduel likes me, I think he was just waiting for me to get into trouble. If were him, I probably wouldn’t like me either, considering who I am.” Sen stands up to leave. “I won’t do it again, I promise. I don’t want to do anything that would make my Father angry.” “Sen,” The headmaster starts, sliding herself back in her chair and standing as well. Flawed red eyes holding clear crimson, “you have much of your Father in you, but you are not him, I knew this the moment you walked into my office. You will have to learn that there are battles worth fighting and others that are not. I understand that you are not used to being around others your age, but youth is youth – they are learning just as you are learning what it is to be alive. The important factor in this environment is that you, just as they, learn from your mistakes and do not repeat them.” She smiles, “rumors and conjecture come with the territory, unfortunately. This is what it means to be young. You mustn’t allow it to phase you and you must learn to deal with it in a more… diplomatic venue than I’m sure you are used to. You have it in you to excel, and I do hope you will do this and not let anyone, including contrary teachers, lower you. I am sure you will make your Father proud…” She raises an eyebrow, “so long as you do not repeat this morning’s indiscretion…” Sen gives the Headmaster a weak smile before exiting back the room to head back to his homeroom. He couldn’t believe someone actually thought he was attacking that jerk. If he wanted to attack Jacen, he would be dead. The blade of his weapon would be sticking out of mister ‘I can’t take no for an answer’s’ back. Now he has to write him an apology? How stupid can it get? The jerk will probably see that as an open invitation to think they were together again. The hybrid sighs, Dad was right. If he had known any of this was going to happen he would have never talked to Jacen in the first place. Reaching his homeroom, Sen pauses in front of the door. At this point he just wanted to go home so he wouldn’t have to deal with it, but that would probably make Professor Tight-ass happy that he won. There’s no way that elitist prick was gonna win. How the hell did he even find out about what happened? It was all the way at the other end of the school. Sen opens the door to the classroom and the entire room stops and looks up at him. He ignores them the best he can and makes his way to his seat. Mister Aduel gives him a smug look and the hybrid does his best to give the Angel a saccharine smile in return. God knows he’s gonna have to hear about how he’s such filth who can’t even contain himself so why does he even bother existing at the end of the day. Samara turns around and gives Sen a worried look, immediately turning back when Mister Aduel clears his throat loudly at her. Samara nudges Sen with her foot, twisting her paper slightly in his direction. Crimson eyes shift over to read the scrolled message written in the corner of her sheet. ~You look like you got kicked, what in the hell happened? ~ Sen’s eyes shift up to the front where Professor Tight-ass was going on about something unimportant, he’s sure that if he either started talking or writing note to Samara, he’d get in trouble again and that’s the last thing he needed. Sen hopes that she won’t mind him in her head briefly. They hybrid expands his thoughts, touching Samara’s, she jumps a bit at the intrusion and then nods to Sen in understanding. [Sorry, I didn’t think we could communicate any other way right now and I can’t get in trouble again. I can channel for the both of us if you have no natural ability, don’t worry. I’ll hear everything you say.] [Nah, it’s cool, I can do it a little anyway. So tell me what happened.] [Well, apparently someone thought that I was attacking Jacen when I was talking to him. I never did, there was a whole room of students there, they should have seen that. I pushed him off his desk, but I never hurt him. I know what would be too much and I never went that far. I had to get the point across to him that it wasn’t going to happen and he needed to stop the rumors. They didn’t like the fact that my hand was around his throat, but I never clamped down on him, it was barely there. I never even broke skin. Now I have to write the jerk a formal apology letter and help the Weapons instructor clean up during last homeroom all week. This just sucks.] Sen looks at her, defeated. [Oh jesus.] Samara frowns, iridescent eyes shifting quickly back to her papers, [what a load of crap. Hey, I’m sorry all that happened, it’s totally my fault for introducing you two in the first place without warning you what he’s like.] She sighs, scribbling along to the monotone drone of the Angel as he prattles through formulas and equations. [I’ll talk to Jacen after Weapons and see what’s up – he better have told the Head the truth or I’ll totally kill him. I’m sure the others only said you were up on him because they are jealous, half his class wants to get with him just like half this one wants to get with you so it probably bummed them like crazy when they thought the two hottest guys in school hooked up.] She rolls her eyes before shifting her gaze to the side and flashing Sen a confident smile. [But I’ll fix it with him so just leave it to me, I’ve got your back okay.] [Yeah…thanks. I don’t get why all these people want to hook up with me. I don’t even know them. And why does his class want that overconfident jerk anyway? Is all anyone ever thinks about is who’s with who and getting ‘hooked up’?] Samara snorts as quietly as she can, sparing Sen a backwards glance. [Yes. Welcome to high school.]
